Sculpturer John Mckenna's work varies in scale from portraits and small private commissions, to large works of public art. A member of the Royal society of British Sculptors, he has exhibited in various locations countrywide.
John has extensive working experience of a variety of media and scales, including large cast bronzes and aluminium, glazed brick relief friezes, stone and cast stone, terracotta, fibreglass and welded steel. His website displays a range of his work.
We were delighted when he asked us to create a contemporary sign to compliment one of his latest pieces of work, a steel structure of a horse, "The Palfrey Horse", shortly to be on display in Walsall, England.
"As a sculptor, I wanted something fitting to go with "The Palfrey Horse". The outcome using stainless steel complemented my work perfectly. The input from Poseidon at the design stage opened up my options on the materials I could use."
