Waterjet technology is second to none for all types of stone and ceramic cutting, producing outstanding results when cutting anything from intricate mosaics to granite signage.
Take a look at our Gallery at some of the intricate mosaics that we've been able to create using this technology. We've inlaid Granite paving stones with Stainless Steel Chinese symbols to create an unusual feature for a Liverpool pedestrian precinct, for example.
Quite simply, waterjets use a mixture of high quality garnet and water at pressures in excess of 60,000 PSI. This cuts the material by supersonic erosion with nozzle velocities up to mach 3! In conjunction with the latest dynamic cutting heads and our highly accurate machine bed, this allows tight tolerances to be held in any material and thickness.
The waterjet process is recognised as the most versatile and fastest growing process in the world and is already used in a wide range of industries. No noxious gases or liquids are used in waterjet cutting, and waterjets do not create hazardous materials or vapours. No heat effected zones or mechanical stresses are left on a waterjet cut surface.
The waterjet cutting technology has shown that it can do things that other technologies simply cannot. From cutting whisper thin details in glass to rapid hole drilling of titanium the waterjet has proven itself unique.
